San Diego · Product photography

Photos worthy of your brand.

Product photography for San Diego artisans — soap and skincare makers, candle makers, small-batch food producers, bakers. Clean, consistent images you can use everywhere your product shows up.

See the founding offer

The product is real. The photos haven’t caught up yet.

Maybe you’ve shot your products on your phone, in good light, and they still came back a little flat. Or you tried a cheap photographer once and got back something generic. Most makers do one of these before they find the right fit.

Meanwhile, mass-produced competitors with weaker products look more polished online. It’s not the work — it’s the photos doing the work for them.

You don’t need more reach. You need photos that match what you’ve already built.

Three images per product.

/ One

The catalog shot

A clean, primary product image. The one that goes on your homepage, your Etsy listing, and the front of your packaging.

/ Two

The detail angle

A second shot that shows the craft — the texture, the label, the hand-made detail a flat catalog shot can’t carry on its own.

/ Three

The lifestyle shot

A styled scene that puts your product in context. The one your customer pictures themselves in.

I’ve spent years photographing signs and architectural work. Commercial product photography is the next move, and the founding offer is how I’m starting — eight San Diego artisans, half off, in exchange for a testimonial and an introduction. Honest trade, honest work.

Mike Mortellaro · San Diego

Founding client offer

Fifty percent off, for the first eight artisans.

I’m building a portfolio of San Diego artisan work. The first eight founding clients get a half-day session at $275 (standard rate $550) or a full-day at $425 (standard rate $850). In return, each founding client provides a written testimonial, permission to use selected images in my portfolio, and one introduction to another local artisan.

Once the eight spots are filled, the offer closes. Standard rates apply after.
